Welcome to the Acomb News website. We are the number 1 newsagent in York! Well, at least to the alphabetical order of Newsagents in the Yellow Pages!
We are an independent, family run newsagent and convenience store based in the heart of Acomb, almost directly opposite the library.
Acomb News is under New Management!
We took over the shop in February 2008 and are in the process of modernising and refurbishing, but our customers tell us it's much better already. The ultimate goal is to make the shop much more accessible to the community, from the buzzer button outside for customers who cannot gain entry to the shop, to the more useful range of products we are now beginning to stock, we really value your feedback. Tell us what you would like to see or what improvements we can make and we will do our upmost to implement them.
There is more to do but we are making great progress.
We offer a wide range of services, from the more traditional home delivery of newspapers and magazines, to corporate delivery with our dedicated van delivery service.
We stock all your favourite brands in confectionary, soft drinks, energy drinks, snacks, as well as teas, coffee's, biscuits, soups, pot noodles... and much more.
And you'll find our prices highly competitive, so come along and try us for yourself!
We also provide PayPoint payment services so we are a convenient location for paying a few bills and picking up a few essential items on your journey.
